The zombies are part of the California Highway Patrol and state Office of Traffic Safety's media campaign to get drivers to stop using cellphones while driving.
No doubt, California is looking to capitalize on the mainstream popularity of zombies in order to get the attention of motorists and make them reconsider their cellphone and texting habits on the road.
National Distracted Driving Awareness Month officially begins April 1st. Look for TV spots featuring the undead to hit soon as part of the "It's Not Worth It!" campaign.
